Linda has lived in the San Francisco East Bay for over 44 years. She and her husband David Nearon raised their four children in Alamo. Linda grew up with a passion to paint, and she had her first exposure to art—while taking art classes from Professor Dibble at the University of Utah. In addition to her art education at the University of Utah and University of California at Berkeley, Linda has taken oil painting workshops from Kathryn Stats, John Budicin, Tom Nicholsen, Ted Gershner, Margaret Kessler, Van Waldron, Jian Wu and other artists. In 2008, Linda's Painting, Morning Song, won Merit Award—Landscape in the Greenhouse Salon International. Her painting was also selected by Salon International, for the Top Fifty Award. Morning Song is published by American Art Collector magazine and Southwest Art Magazine. In 2009, Kennedy Publishing Co. selected Linda as a featured artist in their book, "Best of America Oil Artist Vol 11". Three of her oil paintings were selected for publication in this book. In 2010, Linda's painting, Small Town Afternoon, was juried in Best of America Exhibit, 2010, the Twentieth Annual Fine Art Competition and Exhibition hosted by the National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society. Three of Linda's paintings were selected in 2011, by Kennedy Publications, for "Best of World Wide Landscape Artists." Presently, Best of American Artists by Kennedy Publications has selected, many of Linda's paintings to be an part of their Gold Collectors Edition In August 2014, Linda was honored with a signature membership by the National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society.
